WINDERMERE MARATHON COURSE:

The Windermere Marathon was one of the few live races to take place across the country in 2020, and we are eagerly planning our 2021 event. Runner safety and confidence remain our top priorities as we plan for this years race. Due to the continued challenges presented by the ongoing pandemic, race organizers have elected to continue to use USATF certified COVID course from last year again in 2021. Although we were hopeful for our original point to point course, the point to point course poses some greater safety and logistical challenges related to the pandemic (shuttle buses, gear transport, increased permits to pull, longer traffic closures across major arterials with wave starts, etc.). Thank you to all of our runners that have put their faith in us to again deliver a live race experience in 2021! We will hold true to that promise again just as we did in 2020! The Windermere Marathon course is known for being flat, fast, and scenic! The course is certified and eligible for Boston Qualification.
